Note to God

Do you like watching Oprah? I know I do. I watched Oprah's shows for as long as I could remember. She definitely is one influential women in US and she's amazing. Sometimes the episodes are just so sad you'd cry in front of the television!

Well, in one of her episodes, she introduced us to a young Philippine girl - Charice Pempengco. She is just an ordinary 16 year old then, but when she opens to sing, her voice, it is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.!!!!!!

She doesn't come from a well off family, where you can pay your way into showbiz. But she came from a broken family with domestic violence, and with that beautiful voice, she was able to buy a house and make a living for her family.

Her mother first noticed her voice when she was singing at home and started to teach her "My Heart Will Go On", a song sang by both their favourite artist, Celine Dion. In just a while, she started to compete in singing competitions in the Philippines and she became an internet sensation. And that's how Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres found her.

Her only dream back then was to be able to sing with her idol, Celine Dion, and it came true. She was personally invited by Celine Dion to sing with at the Madison Square, singing "Because You Love Me".

She has sang with some of the most famous artist known worldwide and was supposed to perform with Michael Jackson during his This Is It tour.

This is one of the songs that she sang in The Oprah Winfrey Show, and at moments like this, the lyrics are so true. I can't embed the one she sang during the show, so this is when she sang for Singapore Idol. If I'm not mistaken, this song was first sang by Jojo and both of them sang equally well.



I know if I would give a note to God there would be so many things I would want to ask for and I would not know when to start. But this song summarizes what we need now, what the world needs now.



And she also has an album - Pyramid! It's beautiful. Trust me =)
